The old M & K sub: no match.
I can experience things that I've never before.
Haven't had time to do a lot of listening due to work, but best examples so far is 1812 Overture (SACD 5.1) and old Black Sabbath album that is only stereo...major difference.
With respect to 1812 Overture, the cannon shots were so loud and clear that our dogs ran to me and jumped up in my lap immediately. My wife thought at first from the shower that someone shot a gun, until she realized that I was just listening to music!
Also, all of my other speakers are small, so it augments the lower sounds greatly.
Won't be picking up any more new speakers until at least 1 year. Already overspent my budget.
