2 questions regarding Bowers and Wilkins B&W CM2 and CMC add-ons

I have a pair of Bowers and Wilkins CM2 and a CMC center. The receiver is a Marantz 5005, with an older (perfectly fine) Sony CD player. These have been used to date only for music listening.

I would now like to connect these to my television as well (Samsung Smart TV), even though the primary use would still be for music.

1) I can buy a matching pair of B&W CMD-1SE speakers, which would give me 5.1 capability.
Would the CDM-1SE be a good match, or might they be redundant to the CM2s, since they are of similar size/specs?

2) Are there any general recommendations more experienced members can provide regarding a good, but not expensive, subwoofer to pair with these speakers, etc?

Thanks much.

I realize that these kind of basic questions are probably very repetitive in many cases; nonetheless I could really use some advice here.

Thanks.

What's the budget range for the Sub and roughly how big is the room?

CDMs are a fairly different animal IMO, and I would not expect them to pair well with the CMs. I'd actually have to say the CDM is a better speaker.

Thank you.

Yes, I was worried that the CM and CDMs might not match up well. Any suggestions for B&W speakers to pair with the CM2/CMC, sonically and aesthetically? Would one need to stay in the CM series, or would something from the 600, etc. series be OK?

The budget for the sub is around 500-600. My impression after further reading, is that "in general" sealed subs might be better suited for music use primarily. The problem of course is that they generally require more power = more $$$. I think I understand the basic differences between ported and sealed; I can't really figure out where "passive radiators" fit in though.

The room is 14' x 12' x 8'6".
