I don't know if anything would be damaged by having multiple units connected to the minidsp, nor would I care to try and find out, just not a good way to go IMO (but then neither is having two systems like this). Just seems a waste of a $400 unit not being used but as a switch that you can buy for $20. Not sure you can even program the mindsp to function properly with each input separately....would have to dive into settings. Are you using one of these ddrc units?
I believe the answer is no. You can’t program each input separately. Mine can save individual profiles but all the ins/outs are active only for the selected profile. That means you have to be connected via laptop to switch, or have the remote dongle thing. Iirc that’s another 50 bucks. Not sure though.

That's what I was thinking about the programming, need to have the computer attached and fool with it....

I love mine, but it’s a PIA to drag out the laptop and cable and blah blah blah... app support wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

As long as the subs stay in the same spot would you need multiple profiles? Does it mater if the lfe comes from Avr 1 or avr 2. The delay is set by distance the eq is done by the measured frequency response of the location of the subwoofer. The target dB for subs is 75-80. The only speaker integration problem may be crossover choice but that can be solved with in the avr before it goes to the dsp. You have 2 systems in 1 room MLP is the same subs don’t move. You should only need one profile.

Pretty much this. I can’t remember where the minidsp was introduced exactly but I was mostly commenting on HD’s question.

Having not wanted to use my minidsp's like that....maybe. For one thing, the target dB would be somewhat dependent on the two different sub pre-out levels, is the input level separately adjustable per input? I don't think so....75-80 is just an arbitrary number tho, depends what else you're doing. The Yamaha isn't as flexible with bass management having a fixed hpf (90 or 100 depending where in the manual you look). The delay is influenced by physical distance, but having same subs should be okay. Just not an elegant solution, but neither is having two systems because you want to use two different integrated amps....

From the Onkyo sub out to the ddrc-24 input 1 Then from the Yamaha sub out to the ddrc-24 input 2. Then output 1 to one sub then output 2 to the other sub. The ddrc-24 with umik you will then be able to dial them in with Dirac. The ddrc-24 is an upgrade over the mini dsp 2x4hd
Appreciated.

To me it would somewhat depend on the length involved. I have lots of short splitters and longer rca cables hanging around so I'd probably just use a splitter hanging off the back of the Yamaha and use rca cables I have to connect. You could also just use a longer cable with the splitter built in. Lots of choices. Yes, for the output just one rca to each sub.
Appreciated.
