2 channel Receiver Suggestions

I am looking to purchase a lower priced 2 channel receiver for my Family Room System. I will also need to power an outdoor pair of speakers on my porch.

My Family Room set up is a pair of Swans Diva 4.2. So they are relatively easy to power with an 8 ohm rating and about 90 db sensitivity.

Right now I am leaning toward the Onkyo TX-8555. Doesn't quite have everything but is a steal for about $115.00, I can pick up an open box from Vanns for a steal. I would like to stay under $300 total. It would be ideal to have a Multiroom function (ideally assignable powered multiroom), sub outs, digital ins. No surround sound I just want a two channel set up.

Thanks for the help.

Under $300 with a digital input, I'd consider:

HK 3490
Pioneer VSX-918V
Onkyo TX-SR576 or 506 (and check acceessories4less and shoponkyo for authorized refurbs)
Denon AVR-589
Yamaha RX-V363, 463, 563

Yeah, you don't need HT processing/multichannel amps, but as many have said before, the extra features in HT receivers like bass management for your sub, speaker / sub distance for phase control, and, in the case of the Denon, Audyssey room EQ, improve your 2 channel listening as well (and add to future versatility and resale value).

Oops -- the Yamaha RX-V363 won't let you select both speakers A and B simultaneously -- remove it from your list.
