Hi Guys,
I resort to you for good advice.
I am in the process of buying a receiver with the budget stated above.
The are hundreds and hundreds of posts and I have read many threads.
I am leaning towards the Yamaha RX 3800, the Denon 3808 / 4308 or the Onkyo 875 / 905, although I have no preference for any brand. So any other recommendation is welcomed
Things I would like to have:
Ethernet connections
MP 3 connectivity either IPOd or USB
Multi room
Good auto set up - Good GUI interface
Good Upconversion
HDMI 1.3 connections - Min 3 inputs and 1 output

I read good things and bad things about all systems

I.e Onkyo : Run too hot and switching delays
Yamaha: outdated upconversion chip (1010)
NO so good auto set up
Denon: overpriced, power not as stated in specs, not so good upconversion etc

I have definitive technology speakers (Mythos line)
I will run a 5.1 system in one room and 2 speakers in a second room playing probably a different source than room 1.
I will not be able to test the system and not planning to change it in a long time, as it will have to be imported to my country from the US and here we don't have the systems I want - just low end stuff.

So guys I totally rely on your advice

Many thanks

I gotta go with the Onkyo TX-NR905 or the Integra equivelent. The TX-SR875 does not offer USB or networking capability.

Integra DTR-8.8
