Nice speakers. Tools for the job and all that. You run those without subs? My clipping indicators on the sub amps were being tickled...wish my avr had clipping indicators, tho it's fairly powerful and I do have about a 6dB sensitivity advantage over yours (if Harman was as accurate for my JBLs with the spec as yours), plus I'm crossing at 110.

OTOH reference volume level not something I do much, I rarely treat myself more than -20, some material -10, due to trying to conserve my poor old ears these days.

My sub is for .1 only.
So, no for 2 channel.

I seldom listen to music at higher than -25. -15 to -20 if its a good recording (not overly compressed).

I do not think this is the end-all measurement for dynamic power and ability to drive difficult loads at low distortion levels. The ATI6000 is the first amp I have had that has absolutely no hum/buzz from the center or rear channels. Amps that buzzed in my system include: ATI3005, Sunfire 7400, Parasound A31, Parasound A51.

I also like amps with clip indicators, I haven't seen those avr's.

I agree, apple to apple referred to those particular measurements only. Regarding the transformer hum/buzz, I have never come across one that is silent, regardless of price. It sounds like the AT6000 series are one of those, ADTG also told me his ATI amp had no transformer noise.

The ATI6000 are incredibly quiet at the speaker. You have to put your ear on the tweeter to hear anything at all. And even, then it may be from the XMC-1. Other amps did not reject noise as well.

Transformer hum is another matter. They all hum but vary. The 3 AT6000 amps have six transformer and can be heard up close. When I had the Panasonic 65ZT60 it would on bright scenes upset the transformers. The LG OLED uses far less power and has not effect on the amps.

In my system, the Parasound transformer are better at rejecting power noise and have less hum. But, the ATI6000 are incredibly dynamic amps. No fuses, no speaker buzz.

You have better luck than me. My A21 is generally quiet, about the same as my Bryston but slightly louder than my AVR-3805 that sits next to it. My preamps and prepros are quieter, well small transformers obviously, but my Marantz MM8003 that has the same size transformer as the A21 is also near silent.

The problem with the A21 though, is that it buzz like crazy when I turn on my portable humidifier. It must have something to do with the harmonics that specific unit injects into the home power network and those particular harmonics just happens to resonant with the inductance of the A21's power transformer, as my other portable devices that have build in AFDs that must generate harmonics too, do not affect the A21.
