I guess what you are saying makes sense but from what I heard, the 803s sounded deeper. However, it may have been the song difference as well as the volume.... I didn't keep track of any of this so I guess I can't TRULY compare.

The 803s may well have been tuned deeper, but I don't think they would have a much lower Fs.

I am talking about full range EQ. If you want your speaker to sound 'edgy' or 'forward' or 'warm', just give a boost to the corresponding frequency ranges.

Yuck. I tried DEQX, and liked it less than the unfiltered speakers. Bass PEQs yes, full-range EQ, no.

i live in the toronto area too, and just bought the demo pair of bay bloor radios Golden ear Triton 1's for $5000 canadian. went in based on the reviews, and intending the the triton 2+. walked out with the 1's. they were only 3 months old and had never been given the beating i immediately administered when home: welcome to the machine.
all i can suggest is, go in and listen to them goldenear triton 1's.
