Hey guys,
I was wondering if you all could give me a list of the current recievers(maybe from the usual suspects. Denon, pioneer, onkyo et al) that pass a 1080p/24p video signal.

Thanks!

Most receivers today do. Its trying to find out if there is any alteration going on that is more difficult to find.

For instance, I just learned today that my 805 elevates black levels when using 24p. Sharpness/detail is fine, but video levels are shifted from 16-233 to PC levels 0-255. Others like 1080/60p, 1080i, and 720 are fine. 806 actually suffers more than 805, but I can't recall exactly how.

I would guess that Denon would be very good about this, but OTOH I read that a slightly older model couldn't pass 24fps, but IIRC it was an entry model. Good luck on your hunt.

Oh Yamaha 663 clips BTB/WTW for HTPC users, but funnily enough, I believe the 661 is fine in this regard.

Good point. In that case, I guess I should be asking which recievers pass 1080p/24p untouched/altered?

the Pioneer Elite SC-05, SC-07, and 09 will for sure. I own the SC-07 and it passes 1080p/24 untouched every time.

Htr-6160

I have a Yamaha HTR-6160 which is essentially the 663. Does it clip BTB and WTW signals on all HDMI connections? the manual states that it only does video conversion on composite/s-video/rca. It should just pass through video correct?

You should be perfectly fine. The only time you should be worried (assuming that they're the same to begin with) is when you might use an HTPC or "Home Theater PC" . . .

Thanks Sherardp. So none of the lesser pioneer elites pass 1080p/24p untouched?

Anyone know which of the Onkyo or Denon's will pass the signal untouched?
