1000 budget and new receiver

So to go back to the original question and if I was just to purchase a new receiver to get away from Onkyo...Which is the best quality for around a grand?

Brand wise...Sound wise... I am just curious on opinions.. Or is this like a car question.. They all get you to point b....Just in a different way.

Well, Pioneer Elite Receivers 23/25 would be highly recommended for both quality and bang for a buck

p.s: Yea, 805 doesn't have 8 Ohm setting, the manual says to set 8 Ohm speakers at 6 Ohm setting...
