Things they want me to believe

Well they do sound Completely different Warmed up is about an hour And that last sentence is true on occasion Perhaps if you used less sarcastic smilies I would take your post more seriously. Especially since I've probably worked for or with some of the very manufacturers many people here...

Things they want me to believe

I don't ever recall listing any celebrities and I suppose paying attention to those who have a background in designing amplifiers for decades is just silly thinking.

Things they want me to believe

Loved the first article so I appreciate the link. Found it very interesting but I also believe that this study can't be seen as the holy grail of proof. I'm sure the experienced people lost some of their egos on that one

Things they want me to believe

I neever stated it did, just providing an example that counted the universal claim so many people stating that it universally doesn't. You got exactly to my point I'm not saying every single device and no one should ever generalize that much. I'm saying different products are different and may...

Things they want me to believe

What I find interesting is you'll trust anyone who agrees with you and no one who doesn't no matter their background

Things they want me to believe

No the posts haven't moved how can anyone be expected to discern something new when they are inexperienced or unfamiliar with what they are being tested on? And I dont see how determining a person's personal preference for the quantity of bass is relevent in this discussion as per one of your...

Things they want me to believe

A perfect explanation of how much cynicism any individual can have about anything they simply refuse to believe. So as stated earlier, enjoy your system and all the best.

Things they want me to believe

Well the individual I posted was Nelson pass. Great guy and I would say very relevant to this discussion. He suggested my amps need to warm up but also stated he felt better performance power cords werent necessary I believe him on both points. I believe each individual should test it for...

Things they want me to believe

My point is I will take the word of an educated individual in their respective field of expertise. Not needing to see a schematic, frequency response or calibration data

And I would love to see that but the other question is, was it material they were accustomed to?

Things they want me to believe

So So you wouldn't believe without a test that an established conductor of a world renowned philharmonic wouldn't be able to tell if an individual in his Orchestra isn't playing exactly correctly? I shouldn't believe the opinion of Garcia in this thread about the quality of one conductor...

Things they want me to believe

They come into play because they are trained to hear things the every day person wouldn't. Just like experienced people who can tell a difference in wire etc.

Things they want me to believe

Very well stated and I must admit, newbie here but not in the industry :-)

Things they want me to believe

Your example of speaker placement is an awesome example. You know your system and can hear the difference in speaker placement but another individual may not. You are more experienced and know what to listen for.

Things they want me to believe

I'm not here insulting you or your knowledge, you're the perfect example of a learned individual. So you have an answer as to why it sounds better from the man who designed it but evidently his words aren't good enough. His background and knowledge isn't sufficient. His expertise doesn't hold...

Things they want me to believe

Do you even know who Nelson pass is? And again, several reasons possible for your system. Your experience and knowledge, the system capabilities and your room. All of it plays a part. And in your particular system it may be too small of the difference to discern so there are variances and how...

Things they want me to believe

Education comes in many forms. Not just a degree. What happens when the actual person who designed the product states you should do this or that to improve sound? Like warming up the amp, what then ?
