Buchardt A500 vs Bowers & Wilkins Formation Duo

To be fair, you would need sub for the klipsch to compare with the buchardt. The woofers on the buchardt are definitely better than one in klipsch. The buchardt is a niche brand, outside internet no one knows, while the klipsch are very mass marketed. You might want to take a look at jbl and...

    Jbl LSR 3 serious

To put things in perspective. My sierra2 sounds clean and transparent. Image like crazy and soundstage depends how wide you would put the speakers apart. They disappeared very well too. But they dont scale. When playing saxophone, it sounds miniture which is aweful if you ask me. The salk and...

    Jbl LSR 3 serious

In all honesty. Im looking for a pair of speakers that somewhat resembles the salk song tower tonality. I really like these speakers but im also looking for them to sound like a big speakers. My altec lansing sounds big but nowhere to be liked. Im no longer looking for ultimate transparency and...

    Too much stereo imaging?

I am not sure where to buy buy I would imagine you can diy using magnatic strip to cover the tweeter opening area? The foam i am using are made for the 70–10 raal which have much greater rising response than what you see on the 64-10 of the sierra2.

Crossover wire polarity on selah tempesta

Thank you Dennis. Rick at selah shared it to me. Hopefully is not the transformer that got tossed.

Crossover wire polarity on selah tempesta

The only thing i can think of is the tube preamp that I accidentally turn it on when the amp was on. The tube pre is a new item that I recently got. Could be the tube preamp going on ultrasonic oscillation when turning on and since the amp was on, the signal went thru.

    Too much stereo imaging?

I will wait for the reviews first. I am currently using the foam plugs of the raal 70-10 on the 60-10 raal tweeters from sierra2 and it seems to tone down the high frequencies . But i have come to a conclusion, the sierra2 doesn’t have the scale of image i am loooking for. Even my blown raal...

Crossover wire polarity on selah tempesta

Ok , I think i know what have caused the blown of the raal 70-10. I remember turning on my tube preamp with the amp on and heard pops. I think this is it

Crossover wire polarity on selah tempesta

Hi, I need some help. Can someone tell me how to check the crossover wire polarity to each of the drivers? Both of my tweeters (raal 70-10) on a pair of selah tempesta are blown. I had previously transferred the drivers from old cabinet to a new cabinet and i’m afraid in the process, i might...

    Too much stereo imaging?

I have tried spreading them away but the center image falls out. For now , heavy toe in seems to “fix”. I just find it odd and confused with what i was experiencing, kinda of too much precise imaging.

    Too much stereo imaging?

Im trying heavy toe in crossing the sweet spot and it seems to contain the imaging as you say. The subtle cues are less pronounced for sure. I have never thought of heavy toe in on these speakers. As far as precise imaging , i think the sierra2 has that. To me, instruments can apear to be too...

    Too much stereo imaging?

What mean is, it seems instruments seperation are too far apart. Music seem disconnected. I know is really odd but the speakers are only 6 feet apart. Imaging having the center image lock in while the left and right speakers are up and down in volume. My wife ask me if the surround was on, which...

    Too much stereo imaging?

The speakers are out 2.5 feet from the front wall and 6feet apart. Center image is locked in center and have good sepation of instruments. And the speakers disappears prett well. In theory, this should be what most people are loking for. I just find them a bit too exaggerated. Is like...

    Too much stereo imaging?

So the other day I brought back the ascends acoustic sierra2 out from storage. I was quite suprised how good they sounded specially the stereo imaging, which outperformed the salk songtower, what i had always been listening. A few days later, i started to get anoyed by the stereo separation. It...
