Well, I hope to get my units going again, do a double blind comparison with Hypex and resolve for myself the class D vs AB debate. If I can't tell the difference, or the Hypex comes out ahead, I am selling all these back breakers and going all in on class D.

We specify ATI amps (Class D and Class AB) with KEF speakers all the time. No problems and they sound great.

I'd agree from a math/objective perspective, but nothing beats a double blind test to resolve mental/subjective conflicts. Id also add that class D can only get better over time whereas AB appears to have peaked a while back.

You wanted the Bryston class A/B amps with 20YR warranty, but they were not cost-effective. So you went with the much more cost-effective class-D option that still gave you excellent measurement.

Getting one of those Buckaroo class D amps is equivalent to say a Corolla. Where's a Bryston class D is equivalent to a Mercedes.:cool:.

Although the Bryston cost a lot more than the Purifi and Hypex amps, there may be exceptions but in most installations, with comparable amp power ratings, you shouldn't hear any difference in SQ between them, but perhaps enjoy possession pride.

I think that is likely beyond your budget. If you listen at a lower volume, that will solve your issue and cost nothing. Every time you advance your volume 3db. your are doubling the power required of your receiver.
