    New piece of gear

Oh and one more hint. This is for my main home theater area and not some other area of the house.

    New piece of gear

No, no and no and you need to be a little more specific. Make and model #. I will narrow it down just a little. It is not any kind of Blu-ray player or display. That is the only hint I will give.

    New piece of gear

I have a new piece of gear coming and it should be here wed.:D I am not telling what it is, however, maybe it would be fun if you all tried guessing. I tell you what. First person to guess the make and model# will get a blu-ray or DVD of their choice sent to them by me. No box sets or criterion...

Looking to buy a new computer

My opinions are based on the fact that I worked in IT for many years and have been using computers since the Commodore 64. I have worked on and with just about every OS that people and companies use as well as most hardware. I know all the problems that both windows and Mac OS have from the...

Looking to buy a new computer

I am not so much of an Apple fan but an OS X fan. Mac hardware is just hardware. It is nicely designed and will last, but it is the OS that makes it. OS X is hands down superior to any version of windows. It's fast, stable and there is more software available then you will ever use and a lot of...

Time to buy a gun ... again

I am going to have to agree with you. While I love the 1911 style, the Kimber I had, a colt and a springfield all had issues with feeding. My Glocks would take anything including low powered target loads.

Time to buy a gun ... again

Good glad it is fixed. Rare that anything like that happens with a taurus. Eh, recoil on a 357 is nothing. Wait till you shoot full power .454 loads in single action. Now were talking fun:D

    THE EXPENDABLES (Blu-ray; Lionsgate/Millenium Films/Nu Image)

I thought it was great and another KO for Sly. Not as good as the last Rambo but a great action flick none the less. I have the extended cut.

Time to buy a gun ... again

Mike, Did you try that .357 yet after getting it back from the shop? I would be curious to know just what they actually did to it.

Behringer A500 Amplifier: Objective Test Results

I did? are you sure it was not the other way around? Anyway after finishing up The Return of The King with my wife just now and listening to a few songs, I am not in that big of a hurry to get rid of them. Going to concentrate on the Pre/pro first. ALEX! My EP-2500, all my A-500's and my DEQ...

Behringer A500 Amplifier: Objective Test Results

That sucks. I have had mine now for a few years and no issues like that. I will replace them soon with the XP-5 though:)

Behringer A500 Amplifier: Objective Test Results

Thanks Zumbo for posting that. I had decided that the A-500's were just not good which seemed to go against all that I read about them. I will admit it is a serious design flaw but having said that and knowing that they are perfectly fine with the gains set to max I can live with it. I just...

Behringer A500 Amplifier: Objective Test Results

Wow that explains a lot. I thought I was having some issue with them so I took them out of the loop. I had my gains set about 70%. I will have to put them back and set the levels with the receiver trims. Huh?

Netflix Drops DVD Queue Editing in Apps & Devices

If they drop DVD and blu-ray rentals then I am out of there. Streaming quality on my projector is unwatchable and only marginal on my 42in LCD in the bedroom. My download speed is good too. 40Mbps down and 10 Mbps up on a slow day.
