    emp bookshelves with tube amp

Yes I meant speaker level connections. Parallel means the speakers still get full range as does the sub and you use the sub LPF xover to limit its range. Series means the sub gets full range which you limit with its LPF, but the speakers bass is limited based on the subs HPF setting. This...

    EMP Impression (5.0 Package)

Do you have the piece that broke off? If so, you could use a touch of wood glue to get it back on. Otherwise, I'd try put a dab of wood filler on it, and get a local hardware store to make up a small can of glossy paint to touch it up. Post a pic here so others can see.

    emp bookshelves with tube amp

I don't see why you can't at least do it speaker level either connecting the Sub in parallel or series with the speakers and using the subs HPF for the speakers. I'd try it in parallel first and if you feel the speakers can't handle the bass, then apply the bass management of the subwoofer.

    EMP Impression (5.0 Package)

You should be ok in a small to medium sized room but if you desire very loud listening levels, you should consider an amp from Emotiva whom IMO offer the best bang for the buck. Make sure your receiver has preamp outs if you go that route otherwise you may need to upgrade. Most of the time...

If you are only running 2CH that is fine but be careful if you're running 5.1 as if you set the Xover for the sub too low, you will truncate LFE info.

The Crossover - Brain of your Loudspeaker System

Its kinda an inside joke between Paul and myself. I used to be a math major when I went to school to actually become an Electrical Engineer and I had a math teacher that always used to say "check your maths". Its kinda a slang among geeks I suppose.

Denon DVD-A1UDCI Universal Blu-ray Player Official Support Thread

I got an answer back from Japan regarding D.link and simultaneous HDMI outputs. Dlink attaches to one or the other HDMI, in the setup menu you need to assign DL to the HDMI you want. Just tested our setup with AVP, DVD (HDMI #1 with DL) and another component connected via HDMI #2 out of the...

they are more like 41-SE/Rs as they use a 4" woof instead of a 6" found on the 61-SE/R. Insane deal even without the amp. I want a pair to use as computer speakers :)

Denon DVD-A1UDCI Universal Blu-ray Player Official Support Thread

I think that is normal operation. If you engage D.link 4, it uses its own clock for the audio stream and bypasses HDMI. Thus there is no way the other HDMI output would be able to support audio unless it can also gets that D.link clock. I suspect the D.link clock is bypassed once you have...

RBH Sound MC-6CT Floorstanding Speaker First Look

Yes the MC line measures very linear. When I measured a pair of MC6 bookshelfs in my room at 1 meter, they measured like they were in an anechoic chamber, very scary! Don't be afraid to run those towers full range, they have a natural rolloff that prevent's them from bottoming out. I...

RBH Sound MC-6CT Floorstanding Speaker First Look

I recommend running these speakers full range and using a split line level subwoofer out to run your subs. If the bass is too intense either use EQ on the sub channels or try running the speakers small using your receivers bass management. Also just try running the RBHs full range with no...

Elemental Designs A3s-250 Subwoofer First Look

25Hz is a -3dB point. Its a sealed design so it probably has a very gradual roll off below that and factoring in room gain it should be just fine for home theater duties in small to medium sized rooms as well. This is especially true if your running a pair of them.

Yes and I believe that have a larger version the TSAT-2000 available now. These systems are a great value and look awesome as well. Very high WAF.

I highly recommend you consider some tSc On-wall speakers like the ones I reviewed or even the larger models. They should match well with your EMP towers and should also save your marriage in the process. Its a crime not to have surround sound when you're so close.

    House M.D.

I liked the episode for the most part. The doctor opening up to House on his fathers death bed ws very touching. But House being locked away and attending therapy with crazy people kinda made him too vulnerable and non super human for my taste. I love this show so I am looking forward to...

I agree, if you're home already, what's the point? I think they are just doing it b/c they can. I am more interested in copying blu-ray discs but I don't know of any "content managed" discs that hit the market yet and there will be a fee to do this which again raises the question "what's the...
