Two Subs Better Than One?
Hmm I guess you don't believe in scientifically provable facts but more power to you I suppose  If you chose wimpy subs and/or don't know how to properly set them up then yes you may not get good results with 2 subs. Multi subs for even a single seat can be a huge benefit...

Aperion Audio Bravus 10D Subwoofer Review
Small subs tend to be more expensive than big subs b/c they usually have more tech to make them play loud like longer excursion woofers, more powerful amps, and in this case multiple drivers.

Pete its no intrusion at all. You are always welcome on our forums. I'm glad to see you're still in the game. I've called HSU many times asking for you and Dr. Hsu but never got any call backs :( Hope you and crew are well.

Meaning it may not provide enough output for large rooms using very efficient (>95dB @ 1 watt/meter) speakers.

Aperion Audio Bravus 10D Subwoofer Review
Honestly I don't get the whole mid bass module concept that HSU started. It makes no sense to place a mid sub in the room and have it firing frequencies above 80Hz which are highly localized. The better approach to blend small speakers is to use 2 subs like a 10D that play up high, and place...

Aperion Audio Bravus 10D Subwoofer Review
The HSU is 19 x 14 x 18 whereas the Aperion is 15 x 13 x 13. That is a significant difference in size. The cosmetics on the Aperion are also much nicer. Size and looks play a vital role for some people when blending their systems into their room decors. Also there is more to a sub than just...

Amazing if the box on this sub was 3-4 times larger and had SVS as the initials this thread would be flooded with responses. Doesn't anyone reading this forum have size constraints to deal with in their rooms?

Sherbourn PT-7020A Processor First Look
A-wt gives you much better results. I typically do unweighted unless I am measuring a Class D amp. Also HT Mag doesn't specify the output voltage??? Without knowing the output voltage, the #s cannot be directly compared. Yes very true.

Clint thinks we nailed it this time. The site seems speedy to me so perhaps check your internet connection. Let us know if there are any more outages.

Sherbourn PT-7020A Processor First Look
I strongly disagree. SACD is a niche and will continue to be for many years. There are some fabulously recorded albums on SACD so you should put away your Sharpe and start listening to them. Recording engineers do a fabulous job with SACD, much better than most DVD-A mastering from my...

We are working on some issues since we moved to new servers. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. It sucks when the site is down but my inbox got flooded with 100s of Vbulletin errors within minutes meaning there are a lot of people trying to get on our forums. Its nice to see so many addicts :)

EMP VT-40.2 Tube Amplifier & 41-SE/B Speaker System Review
You lose some cone surface area with the phase plug which on an already small driver means you also lose some efficiency at the lower frequencies with the phase plug driver. The advantage of the phase plug driver however is it will play higher, have less beaming and simply provides stunning...

Time for me to dump Netflix. There is really no reason for this service when I have multiple Redbox kiosks within 2 miles driving distance from me all of which now rent Blu-ray.

EMP VT-40.2 Tube Amplifier & 41-SE/B Speaker System Review
Ken; You absolutely need a powered sub to compliment the 41-SE/B's if you plan on putting them in a room that large. Also they were meant to be placed near a wall for added boundary gain so if you place them too far from the back walls you may find the mid bass to be a bit lacking. Placed...

Is this ad legit?
We never reviewed those speakers and Stereomojo appears to be a hobby site as their traffic doesn't even rank on Alexa.com. That being said, the speakers may be great but we haven't verified that in any form of review on Audioholics.com.

Did James Cameron Rip Off Roger Dean with Avatar?
Seems to be a trend with movies these days. The latest Star Trek was a complete rip off of the last Star Trek Movie Nemesis mixed in with Star Wars and elements of 90210. When hollywood runs out of ideas, they simply respin what worked in the past. Needless to say, I still found both...

Denon receiver, Bose speakers- can it work?
Honestly if you're gonna stick with the Bose cubes for the long haul, don't spend more than about $300 on an A/V receiver. I recommend selling your cubes on Ebay and then focusing on buying a complete 5.1 A/V system. There are many options for small speakers that will perform better than the...
