Agreed. I've studied the design of the BDP-105 in great detail. I don't see how its possible to achieve better analog audio performance than what they've already been able to achieve. If it were possible, I'd like to do a quick a/b comparison with my ears and my Audio Precision :)

no the mids and woofers are made of a different cone material and have cast baskets. Also the bass drivers are 8" instead of 6.5" and there are 3 of them. The crossovers are also significantly upgraded.

Welcome to the forum. i eventually would like to expand our articles to discuss ribbon type tweeters. I have heard some great sounding designs, most recently being the Salk SS8s and a prototype bookshelf. just gave to find the time to put dome of thus down in an article. thx for your suggestion.

The house is actually my wife's and my personal residence. When we have staff gatherings, it's usually to host a listening event so there isn't a conflict unless of course it's late night and my kids are trying to sleep :)
