Glad to hear that b/c I thought Avengers 2 was about the worst Marvel movie I've ever seen. I did love Thor Ragnarok though.

Pioneer Elite VSX-LX103 7.2CH Atmos AV Receiver Inflates Power Not Price!

Thanks for sharing that. I got an email from ONkyo/Pioneer that they are going to be listing 2CH FTC power as their primary power spec on their website and brochures from now on as a result of my articles on this topic. In fact, we just received a press release of a new Pioneer AV receiver...

    Monoprice Monolith 7-Channel Amplifier Review

It's likely not! All they probably did was use a phase splitter on the inputs or at best a differential input opamp. The output stage is still single ended like most "budget" amplifier designs.

My Favorite Home Theater Receivers of ALL Time

I only did it b/c I got the Denon separates. But sadly, they weren't upgradeable to Atmos or UHD. If I wasn't doing this for a living, I probably wouldn't haven given a rats ass and just kept them. I only have so much space for all this stuff ;)

My Favorite Home Theater Receivers of ALL Time

Not sure which products you're referring to but the crosstalk of the Denon AVR-5805 and Yamaha flagship products was excellent as you can see in my measurements.

My Favorite Home Theater Receivers of ALL Time

No doubt my friend. The 5805 digital front end rivaled most expensive separates alternatives and the amp section was every bit as good as a dedicated multi-channel amp. They used that receiver as the basis for developing the AVP-A1HDCI 10CH Pre/Pro and POA-A1HDCI 10CH amplifier. God I miss...

Has the FTC Failed Consumer Audio Regarding Amplifier Power Claims?

I've seen a few comments on this thread or perhaps others about IMD distortion testing. The reality is, in most cases, THD+N is good enough info to have for today's wide bandwidth amplifiers. In fact, it's been my experience if you see good THD+N performance, than IMD will also be similarly...

    Yamaha Aventage CX-A5100 Pre/Pro vs RX-A3050 Atmos/DTS:X Receiver

Agreed, especially since Yamaha does their own clocking to keep Jitter extremely low. I'd use the DAC in the 5100. It's superb.

Epique CBT24 Line Array Loudspeaker Review

The new CBT24 'Epique' floor-standing line array by Dayton Audio is an unconventional speaker, to say the least.
