Here is my opinion: Dumbing Down of Audio

thanks for the warning. While I figured it looked pretty dumb from the previews, I thought it would at least be a rental since I like the main actor and found him quite funny in Saving Silverman. I will just pass this one up and perhaps watch when it comes on HBO.

IMO nothing comes close to the fireworks of Disney and Epcot. Best of all they do this 365 days / year !

Well don't base your decision off of just my opinion. After all I am not Roger Ebert ;) I thought Xmen3 kicked butt but it didn't review too well, so there you go...:rolleyes:

I thought the movie was ok and certainly less cheesy than the old Superman movies but I felt it lacked in the following areas: 1) Poor and inconsistant plot - I cannot ellaborate without spoiling it for those who didn't see it 2) Mundane acting by all but Kevin Spacey whom was brilliant IMO...

Though we haven't yet written much on this topic, we have been studying many of the newer Class D amps. Many of them are poorly designed or laid out. I don't have much experience with TACT and I appreciate your offer. I may contact them in the near future to arrange for a product review.

Haha we shall see. We are living in a PCM world whether Sony likes it or not. All of the receivers/processors handle bass management in PCM, most of the recording studios master their mixes in PCM. Personally, I love the sound quality of my 2CH SACD's and wish I had a bigger selection but...

Well Sony isn't really supporting it any more so that certainly doesn't help its success story. Also recording studios have and likely always will master in PCM and DSD is really not compatible. Check out our articles on this topic...

Actually he no longer works for Phillips. I don't recall him ever stating that their design DAC is junk and he gives good reasons as to why that type of method is NOT optimal. Yes I agree which is why its important to NOT put words in peoples mouths or misquote them when they write articles...
