    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

It's always important to consider design goals of an engineered system before broad brushing a product. NEVER assume you or even the reviewer knows more about the design intent than the company that actually designed the product.

Looking to replace Audioquest speaker cable (I am ashamed)

That is true. Some of their lower end products like their self terminating coax cables are quite good. If they didn't slap batteries on their high end stuff, boast a bunch of marketing technobabble nonsense, and charge more for their so called "high end" cables than a new car, they would be...

    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

You gain SPL either way but depending on how the subs play into the room it can be anywhere from up to 6dB gain or loss if you have acoustical cancellations. Either way, if you want deeper extension in a large room, its best to go with multiple larger subs.

    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

Try to tone down the ignorance for once please. There is more to subwoofer design than stuffing a bunch of unnecessary bracing or overstuffing into a box. I personally own 2 DD15s and although they don't sound as dead as other products I've compared them to when you knock on the side wall, the...

Haha good one. Out of the several thousands of entries for a contest like this, perhaps 3-4 valid ones can actually find a good home for speakers of this magnitude. :D

    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

Possibly, but the low end extension and overall output in such a large room would suffer. I wouldnt recommend anything smaller than DD15's in that room. The laws of phsyics come into play here, BIGGER enclosure and BIGGER driver equals more extension and output. Don't forget the DD15s and...

    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

NO. You mean 4 DD12s I presume. Having first hand experience with the entire DD line, there is a big step up going from DD12s to DD15s. In a room his size, I'd go at least 2 DD15s or preferably 2 DD18s.

    Velodyne DD-18 Subwoofer Review

In a room that size you should definately have 2 subs. If the DD-18 price is too steep, I'd go with a pair of DD-15s. Thats a huge room!

RBH Sound Signature T-30LSE System Review

please re-read the portion of the review you are referring to as I rewrote it a bit to clarify. As a fullrange tower, there would be no need to self limit them. I meant the limiter feature should they ever do a dedicated sub, kinda like what Velodyne and Axiom does with their products that way...

RBH Sound Signature T-30LSE System Review

What else do you want? The speakers are constructed of 3/4" HDF instead of MDF. They are well braced and well lined with damping materials in the right places. They use some of the highest quality drivers on the market, hence why they received a very good rating in build quality. Their...
