FYI; Bestcovery asked us to write reviews for them with no requirement for actually having product in hand. Its more of an overview site IMO which you can still get useful product info of but I wouldn't call those reviews.

Stacking is a waste when you already have a high output sub like the SVS. You are better off tactically placing both subs in the proper locations of your room to smooth out bass performance to benefit all of your seats.

You can get very respectable bass response running dual subs 1/3rd to 1/4th distance into each side of the front wall, especially in long rooms when the seating area isn't close to the back wall. Talk to the fine folks at JL Audio, they tend to favor this sub placement over placing 2 or 4 subs...

That doesn't surprise me. I really don't like Yamaha's direction on their sub $1k receivers they've been taking. Their focus on their budget line is more feature based than performance as of late. I wouldn't be surprised if this applies to the preamp outs as well. Read: Trading Amplifier...

Small subs tend to be more expensive than big subs b/c they usually have more tech to make them play loud like longer excursion woofers, more powerful amps, and in this case multiple drivers.
