Obviously it's different for this player. I'd imagine once you set it to Dlink4 it will output audio via Dlink for CD/DVD-A/SACD and the master clock when doing TrueHD/DTS HD while sending those bitstreams via HDMI. I will do an interview with Denon Jeff once I get my review sample in a few...

No only the clocking for reduced jitter. The bitstream for HD formats will still pass thru HDMI.

Yes b/c Dlink reclocks the signals to reduce jitter.

Update: Neither the Yamaha RX-Z7 or Pioneer SC-07 will take in a 1080p component video signal and pass it out via HDMI. They both will take in 1080i though...

The Klipsch THX system is very nice for home theater and wow effect but its not even in the same league as the speakers you currently own with respect to music and tonal neutrality. Why fix something that isn't broke?
