Yea 200 comments many from people that sadly didn't actually read the article and just made ASSumptions.

TechHDS (aka. Carl) asked me to close/ban his account so I have done it per his request. If he later decides to come back, I will reinstate at his request.

Carl; RBH options offered here are extremely reasonable as was Montucky's response. If you don't agree to one of them at this point than you need to take this elsewhere as I won't continue to provide a platform for you to air your grievances. I hope this gets resolved quickly for all parties...

American audio industry may suffer a blow..

The tariff doesn't just relate to production in China. My understanding in talking to some audio companies is that any parts that are globally sourced in a product will subject the finished product to the tarrif even if said product is built in America. Basic speaker parts ALL come from...

American audio industry may suffer a blow..

This thread inspired us to look more closely into this situation and write an article about it. The president’s escalating tariff war is wreaking havoc on American businesses that rely on Chinese manufacturing and supply chains. The results are higher prices for consumers, and real risk to...

This situation is certainly a mess but setting the impedance switch on your AVR to 4 ohms can be another source of unwanted distortion. see: https://www.audioholics.com/audio-amplifier/impedance-selector-switch-1

Again I don't get why you would be willing to buy new drivers for a new product that has had problems since you got them. Just return them, eat the shipping costs if you have to and move on. I hope it works out for you as I know that can be frustrating.

Dolby Restricting Use of 3rd Party Upmixers on Atmos Products

The table on this page still troubles me: https://emotiva.com/blogs/latest-1/a-brand-new-path-dolby-atmos-and-dts-x-is-here They show analog and PCM 2CH audio not being able to upmix to Atmos but to Dolby Digital? This also appears to be effective in 2019 so I'd be cautious about updates at...

Emotive just confirmed with me this only applies to encoded 2CH PCM, not standard Redbook stuff. Whew!

I've known Daren a long time and find it hard to believe he would put a customer through all of this. That said, I understand your frustration too. I don't understand why you just don't return the speakers for a refund and get something else? Cut your losses and move on as there are so many...

Dolby Restricting Use of 3rd Party Upmixers on Atmos Products

As far as I know, the latest FW updates on Sound United products have not restricted upmixing. I own an SR8012 and all of the upmixing options still work for various signals. Emotiva on the other hand is compliant with Dolby requirements which really sucks for them and their owners...

    RBH Sound Owner's Thread

I just scanned the thread and notice you're having QC issues with your RBH speakers. You should definitely be working directly with either your dealer or RBH (whomever you bought them from) to replace them rather than repair them. Good luck to you as this is certainly not the norm for the brand...

Make sure your receiver has a separate LFE crossover setting otherwise it's possible you can truncate the LFE channel by setting the LPF on the mains below 80Hz. Depending on which Yamaha you have, there should be a separate setting.
