    Athena Ls500's Tomorrow!!!!

That is the best possible advice concerning break in. I have had some Athena speakers in the past that I was really happy with, so hopefully these will sound great! Congrats!

    Speakers for a girlfriend

I thought that this thread was long since dead, and now it is baaaaaack! The girlfriend who was the original subject broke up with me before I ever had the chance to give her a stereo (or anything else, LOL.) I started dating someone else soon after, and have been with her ever since...

    The Bill of NON-rights

Well put. Note that if you substitute the word "Bible" for the word "Declaration", you still have a true statement.

    Infinity Floorstanders for under $225...

The Primus 250s (without mods) are good enough to be well worth their original $400/pr list price. If you can get them for a lot less, they are a steal!

    The Bill of NON-rights

Statements such as that one and "It is a fact that being gay is morally wrong" do not have any logical basis.

OMG!! Everybody wants to be bailed out!

I want to be bailed out! Heck, I don't even need billions of dollars. A million will do nicely!:D

    Favorite Beer

I am permanently finished with drinking alcohol in any form. Years ago when I did drink, however, the best beer I ever tasted was Chimay Ale (brewed and bottled in Belgium by Trappist monks.)

    Really a difference?

I think that was a matter of having good taste in speakers.:)

    Polk or Klipsch

You were lied to. Polk makes excellent speakers (relative to price, of course.) It should also be noted that some of us cannot stand the Klipsch sound (though others love it.) To those of us who do not like Klipsch, the sound is irritatingly bright and harsh like fingernails on a chalkboard.

    The Bill of NON-rights

I don't know for sure, but I think so. Not all christians are fundamentalist, after all. There is a pretty simple dichotomy here, though: Either they don't believe in resurrection (and don't believe in miracles, etc.) or they are stark raving nuts!:D

    Hellboy 2 Audio

I noticed that it was out on DVD, and have thought about getting it. I liked the first one (and I am a huge fan of the comic books.) I hope I won't be disappointed.

    The Bill of NON-rights

Don't you see the hypocrisy in this statement? You are willing to let gays be themselves, but you don't want society as a whole to share that willingness!

    The Bill of NON-rights

There are christians who believe that Jesus was a (mortal) man who died long ago and had some good ideas that can serve as a guideline for the right way to live one's life. They are perfectly sane. The psychosis kicks in when people start believing such ridiculous notions as resurrection...

    Really a difference?

That an a large dose of placebo effect (due to the equipment being impressive-looking and obviously expensive) are sufficient to explain it.

    The Bill of NON-rights

Yes. And not just can be wrong, but are wrong. Let's say someone visits a psychiatrist who is not familiar with christianity (don't sweat the reason: this is a thought experiment.) Now suppose the patient says "A guy who died over 2000 years ago is still alive. He follows me 24/7, like a...

    The Bill of NON-rights

He cannot back it up because it is a false statement. The belief that something is immoral (with the exception about harming others noted as above) is a purely personal choice, and thus cannot be a "fact".

    The Bill of NON-rights

What do numbers have to do with it? Belief in irrational anti-scientific BS is belief in irrational anti-scientific BS. It makes no difference whether it is just one person believing it or a billion, it is still ridiculous.

    The Bill of NON-rights

All of the anti-abortion activists that I have encountered want it to be 100% illegal, regardless of the circumstances. Although the choice to have an abortion or not lies entirely with the mother (and is none of anybody else's damned business!), I certainly think that using it as a form of...

    The Bill of NON-rights

Then you are flat-out wrong. There is no point in arguing with you about it, because you are clearly to stubborn to even consider the truth. As for the other part of your post, you are only partially right. Certain things are wrong in a way that goes beyond the religious-based (and quite...

    Thankful?

I am glad that my employer is continuing to thrive in the face of the economic meltdown, so that I still have a job. I am glad that , after 8 years of incompetence, we finally have a decent president. I am glad that I have finally found a girlfriend who says she is interested in saying...
