Which Emotiva amp for stereo listening?

Capacitance, inductors, phase angle, power factors who cares, all that matters is how a amp performs with a given set of speakers. Listen with your ears not some piece of test equipment. OK back to raking leaves.
Knock it off, we must justify the money we have spent and resist the need to upgrade because something might sound better. :)

Some people's hobby is listening to music people's hobby is buying equipment.
Unfortunately, I have both afflictions and it comes in waves :p

P.S. My wife's phone gets alerts from retailers. I tell her: Honey, there is something for sale on the internet ;)
It happens in audio too.

Most AVRs have enough power to drive most speakers if you actually have any real common sense. ;) :D

If not, then you must be a real idiot. So just shut up. :D ;)

Now back to work since I have about 27 more years until retirement.

27 more years you must taken a long time to get out of school... 27 more years I'd be 87.

By then, that will be the retirement age. I can't wait for my prosthetic ears :)

Well, I would have been 23YO, but I opted for the doctorate degree, so 25YO. Been working for the same hospital for 17YR now. I always thought 69YO is the official retirement age. :D

I'm retiring at 45, my sons will be done with college for a few years at that time and they can decide if they want to go their own way or take over the company, if they want to try it out Ill keep it, if they are not interested I will sell it, either way it will be income for me. I am going to sell this house when they move out {no reason to have 4200+ sq ft for just me and the wife} and build something more practical on some land I already own in full. So the sale of this house {almost paid for now} will pay for the new build as well as add some girth to the savings accounts {hopefully depending on the market and building material costs over the next decade}... I am hoping at least one of my sons will run the company since I built it, and it will give me something to putt around with and still pull a little pay check out of...
A lot of my friends say "45 thats too young" but I worked 80-90 hours a week from when I was 17 so working 25 years is really like working 50+ years....

Full SS retirement age is 67YO (if born > or = 1960).

I think quitting cold turkey is bad. I think you should taper from 80HR to 40HR x 3YR, then 20HR x 3YR+. :D

Any experience, preference, or input regarding the these three amps?

Peachtree 220 - i like the idea of staying with Class D amps b/c of efficiency and my electric bill.
B&K 7250 - class A
Acurus 200x3

I think the AVR (SC-55) should be capable driving the center and rears for HT (hence the consideration for the 220). The alternative is the B&K 200wpc x 5 or Acurus 200wpc x 3

No it's like working 25 :p

My old man is almost 60 and he's working for the family business since he was 10 (although it was probably more playing than helping at that age). Working is working and time is time. There ain't no equivalent for either, especially time IMHO.
