I wonder how these Insignia's and BS22's stack up against the $80 Micca MB42x's

I will still take the Pioneer BS22 over the Insignia speakers - Pioneer does a better job
with the human speaking voice - and does a little better with inner midrange detail.

UPS just drove up with your 22's and crossover parts. I'll get them out as soon as I can.

OK, thank you - I have been listening to the modded S30, to sort of prepare.
You need to be good to match, or beat your work.:)

A short update on the Insignia speaker >
While they are nice for what they can do, they still have some faults.
For a tight budget and not being a real nit-picker, they can work. >>
However for a little more, Pioneer is better - and for a little more on
closeout pricing, the Cambridge is better.

I have decided that my tweaked Insignia speakers, should get a new
home - so, I took them to Goodwill.

The Insignia is still a nice option, for budget surround speakers - and
even a better deal, when on sale.

Thanks for your thoughts Z. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the modded Pio 22's.

Well, I hope that Dennis gets the tweeters today - I have been waiting to play with them. I am going
to do a Murphy vs Murphy throwdown - and the winner will face the Boston E60 speakers.:D :)

>Twiddling thumbs< waiting for review...
I will have some info tomorrow - one thing to note is the modded version is less sensitive
than the stock version - however, voices do sound good on the modded version.

Today is yesterday's tomorrow. Inquiring minds are dying to know :D
I am almost ready - a hint, they do favor a NHT sound quality - and I am not
talking about the SuperZero. They are closer to the Classic Two.

Another hint, they are clean, neutral and smoother than the stock version.

Another question, how did they do against the modded S30?

It will all be posted in a new thread - we may be picking on the Insignia speaker.:)

Are these sealed? I'm looking for some cheap surrounds to mount close to the wall.
