You can purchase just the subwoofer and the speakers but you will still need some sort of amplifier and perhaps a switching device to select between your movies, games and music devices.

As for comparison specs, computer systems take great liberties with their numbers but you can be quite sure the system that AL2 recommended will blow both of them out of the water. into the middle of the nearest body of land, and several feet into the ground.

You will need the amp I suggested to plug into your computer. It will give you more inputs for the price too. Yes it will sound GREAT! You will need this wire to plug to your amp and into computer audio output: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-40423-Stereo-Y-Cable/dp/B0018KUS9E/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1381419494&sr=1-6&keywords=One+3.5mm+Stereo+Male+to+Two+RCA+Stereo+Male+Y-Cable and some speaker wires: http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-16-gauge-Speaker-Wire-Feet/dp/B006LW0WDQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1381420744&sr=1-4&keywords=speaker+wire

Computer (1/8" mini plug) to red/white RCA input Jacks on Amplifier.

Amplifier speaker outputs, via speaker wire, to two 2 speaker inputs on the Subwoofer and finally, again via speaker wire, two subwoofer speaker outputs to the individual Pioneer Speakers.

Once you get up and running, adjust the controls on the subwoofer to match your speakers. Go with what sounds like the best balance for you. I'd start with the subwoofer crossover/frequency around 100 hz and see how that goes.

Finally,

i will not be able to use my xbox 360 that will be connected to the aux 2 of the amp then XD
This, I do not understand.

Does Xbox not have red/white analog outputs? That may require another cable.

What is "XD"?

You connect your speakers to the subwoofer, then you connect another wire from the sub to the amp. As you can see below:

so pc( or xbox360 ) to amp then speaker out from apm to high level input then high lvl output to pioneer speakers ?
the rca line in from the sub unused right ?

is this correct?

I don't own Xbox or PS3, so I can't help you there. How do you connect the xbox to your computer? If you get sound then when you hook everything up you should get sound from anything on your computer on your new amp.

Gain is how loud you want the subwoofer to play. You will set it so it sounds "balanced" with your main speakers.

Crossover (frequency) is at what frequency do you want the subwoofer to play below. Adjust this to what sounds right. Too high and it may sound boomy. Too low and you might lose some bass between wheere the mains fall off and the subwoofer kicks in.

As I said earlier, start it around 100 hz and play with that, and the gain (volune) control. It's not an exact science and it may take a few days of living with it fo finally find the right balance between the gain and frequencty control too find what works best for you.

ok thanks for your fast response .. so , gain should be fixed since im going to controll it using the amp volume and crossover should be adjusted depending on music or movies?
