Also don't demo them in store take them home and then decide. There are alot of choices out there on a budget and the pioneers are ones to be beat. I didn't like the Infinities either and sold them, but you may like them like it's said your ears will decide for you.

If you have listened to the Pioneer and they sounded very good, then a few more hundred dollars probably won't improve anything. I've recommended the Pioneer to a few people. Some agreed that the Pioneer sounded very good. Some said the Pioneer sucked. :D It surprised me when they said that, but not everyone thinks the Pioneer sound good. Go to Fry's and listen to the P363 and see for yourself. Don't just take people's word for it. Compare for yourself. Never know until you try. :D My opinion is to get the less expensive of the two.
This is true. We've recommended the Pioneers to a few on here and a couple of them weren't fans of how they sound, though at the same time, not everyone knows what "good" speakers sound like. Plenty of us have listened to a LOT of speakers and that's where the recommendation comes from, but that does not mean they will be for everyone. They are just a good place to start.

WE reviewed the P363s and Pioneer FS52s.

Infinity Primus P363 Floorstanding Loudspeaker Review | Audioholics

Pioneer SP-PK52FS 5.1 Floorstanding Speaker System Review | Audioholics

The Pioneers have a much better tweeter and better overall sound than the Infinities IMO but the Infinities have a slight edge in midrange clarity.

Both speakers have compromises so don't believe that they are the end all be all of speakers like some fan boys and reviewers often portray. For the price you can get them online however, they are both a good deal!

If main use was for Sports / TV / Movies which would make better sense?

Do you live in a decent size town? You should be able to listen to both locally fairly easily and that will quickly tell you which YOU prefer. We are making recommendations, but ultimately you need to live with the speakers.

Live just outside of St. Louis, but in the city everyday for work. Saw both in BB a week ago, but awful listening conditions.

^^Those are nice and you won't need a sub with these. Was there a center made for these? That is a great price, dang. SB Datavision are in NYC and are legit. I've bought from the actual store.

Have you used that website. It looks a little fishy if not.
I actually didn't know about the website. I saw the listing on ebay and purchased from there. The speakers shipped a day after purchase. Unfortunately, I'm traveling so won't have them in my possession for a few days.

I don't know if there was a center made for these. I believe the bookshelf version was called TK-5C. This LCR would probably have worked well as the center:

I have the EMP E55Ti and the Revel F32. I'm quite happy with both of them, so there was no real reason to get these other than the affliction for which this site is aptly named :)
I have the EMP E-41B in my desktop setup that I really enjoy and am hoping that the top-end of the TK-5CTs will be as good (I'd be pleasantly surprised if the mids are). I will probably be able to post some listening impressions in 2-3 weeks.

Maybe you can go into the store and take a listen? Even put a candle on a cake at the listening position and see if you can crank the bass high enough to blow it out :)
