Hi there

I've only come across your site today so apologies if I'm not doing or asking the right thing but....perhaps you can help me?

I'm having a clear out at home & have a TEAC H500i system which I haven't used for a while & could do with making some space in the house.

I bought it from new 12 years ago (still have the receipt) It is in champagne gold colour & in very good conditio - not marked at all. There are 4 parts to it - an integrated amplifier, stereo cassette deck, am/fm tuner, & CD player plus 2 speakers, remote control & the users manuals

They do't appear to be produced anymore & It did cost me quite a bit originally so I want to make sure I'm selling through the proper channels to achieve the best price. Could anyone give me any tips or advice on how best to market it? Any feedback would be much appreciated

Regards
Steph

I would be interested in the amplifier. I will send you a private message.

EDIT>> DARN you are in the UK. I need one setup for the states. My apologies. I was excited.

Anyone that is selling an amp like this should consider shipping it anywhere in Europe that utilizes the same 220v socket used in the UK. All to often I see A-H500 amps listed on ebay.uk with "pickup only" and they go for next to nothing when you won't post.

Selling audio equipment

Hi Steph,

Usually this stuff is offered on eBay. Every now and then I see equipment offered as 'pickup only'. I can assure you you won't get a dime for it. The number of potential buyers will be zilch if you won't ship it (across Europe)...

Shipping to Holland, Belgium, Germany France at al will be around BP 20 (with parcelforce). Royal Mail will deliver in the UK for a fiver.

This equipment is/was offered in Germany for between Euro 100 and Euro 200. Since the amp could be had for USD 300 new(!) none seems to bother buying or bidding.

That said, I'm interested in the amp (or if you're only interested in selling the lot;-) for a reasonable price. Just let me know @ exrabies @ gmail. com.

Some advice on activating a zombie post...

Considering OPs one and only post was about a year and a half ago, I wouldn't hold my breath on his seeing and responding to this.

You might consider sending him a private message on the off chance he ever stops in again.

I still see people listing these in the uk routinely "local pickup only" and still going for next to nothing. Anyone selling something so small should have no trouble packing it for safe delivery. So to anyone that finds this, offer to post to mainland Europe to any country that isn't notorious for scammers and horrible customs, you'll get more money.
