Welcome to the forum, Mike! I had a chance to try out that Onkyo. One of the better options in that price class, IMO, especially if you like Odyssey.

Which sub did you get, and are you getting surround speakers?

keep it all klipsch ref and get a pair of these, on sale for $299 until midnight , thats as cheep as they get... Klipsch Reference RW-12d 12" Powered Subwoofer Each w/ New box - Newegg.com for a $1000 sub not too shabby, and having two will be hard to beat for $600.... thats 700watts which having two subs equals like 2400 watt single sub, or something like that lol, I could never figure that out, 2-200 watt subs at 1/4 power equals 1 400 watt sub at full power??? But anyway, that would be shweet...

You can get anything for surrounds, I have heard systems with $40 bookshelfs for surrounds and never noticed a difference compared to my 200se's or my buddies system with his sinfire bipoles... heres some innexpensive klipsch surrounds... http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-SYNERGY-S-10-2-WAY-HOME-THEATER-SURROUND-SPEAKERS-PAIR-NEW-BLACK-/300928189024?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item4610b7c260

You think two are necessary?
No but it would be AWESOME!!!! My father in law has the same sub and it is pleanty for a decent size room, but at that price why not? Im not sure what you sub budget is, but in all seriousness 1 is good enough for a medium/large room... That is the lowest I have seen the price go, they go for more than that one Ebay used!!! Ends soon though, so I would jump on it..

I didnt notice they are also blowing out the s10 surrounds http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882780033

Go for 2, why not? you live once, justify it this way, I know a guy that bought one of them subs for $899 about a year ago, for what he paid you could get 3!!! By the way he has the same front end as you, except he has a rc62ii center...

lol,

I never heard them next to each other so couldn't tell you if the extra cost of the 62 is worth it or not, I'm not a fan of horn tweeters in general, so I never got into the klipsch stuff as much as a lot of other people. It is nice efficient stuff, and if you like your highs forward and sharp they are a good option, I am a little sensitive when it comes to top end and get fatigued fast, so I tend to pick speakers with silk/ fabric/ soft dome tweeters... although I have heard metal and horns that defy this most of them were not budget friendly...

You must be over lokoing something because them klipsch are very sensitive and should play loud with very little power, did you go through the setup procedure for the avr? I would try wiring them regular...
