My SUV didn't match my new bike

I just got a new bike last month. I think it cost more than the SUV...

That reminds me, it must be time for me to start a new post on "Installing a trailer hitch on a Q5".

So, to keep from having an argument, you bought a new SUV to match the bike instead of getting a new bike to match the SUV... You sly Dawg!;):D

Valid question.

We don't have mountains but with have a very elaborate trail system here. Our organization is Dallas Of Road Mountain Bike Association(DORBA) and we have 26 sanctioned trails. We don't have sustained climbs, ours are more steep, technical, punchy climbs that are littered with rocks and roots. Our single tracks are awesome with great flow. On my average 15 mile loop, I do ~4,000 ft of climbing but it's just not all at once.

Our longest trail is around 24 miles but we have the land and the plan to do about 60 miles of trail out there. We are hoping to have it done in 3 years.

If you are every out this way give me a call and I will take you for a ride, you will not be disappointed and you will be worn out.

Pictures never show the true story of terrain but here is a few anyway.

Mountain biking in Texas?

Post ride beers...

This is what mt legs look like after 4,000 ft of climbing.

That's awfully kind of you to Rick to crop out the brim of his hat. :D

Hmmm, eventually we'll need to find another joke theme around here...

The fact that you think those are cool pictures just proves that there isn't any real mountain biking around there... :p

Now, back to that GIF. I think that I need to get some eye drops. Well, or blink occasionally.

This kind of gives you an idea of how steep the climb is in the 5th picture. This is my buddy pushing his bike up the same climb.

I have ridden in your state as well as in CO. Sure, it's better but I don't live there...

I know both of those things.

I am about to try to put the hitch on my Audi. The dealer wanted $2,000 to do it so I got one online and paid less than $200. It was easy on my Nissan, this one looks like a nightmare.

Wish me luck.

Oh...and one more thing...

This thing has a 20gb hard drive built in to load all your music in it. So far I can't get anything to load. Does anyone around here, know anything about audio. anymore?????????????
I was just joking. :) I don't bike at all anymore.

How it works should be in the manual. *GASP* :D My Fusion has a hard drive in it, and I honestly forget the size. 10 GB, maybe. In my car, I can only rip songs from CDs. I can't load audio files onto it, and it can't extract audio files from a data CD - it can only record audio CDs. It can't even record off of the radio. Pretty worthless to me, and it's only 10 GB anyway. However, I can connect a hard drive (or iPod) to a USB port in my center arm rest, and it will play those files. Now, that has come in really handy.

I may have to get out the manual, When I go into "JukeBox" it asked me if I want to download wirelessly, via CD, via SD or by connect a HD. All the options are grayed out so I just turn on the radio. At some point I need to figure out why I paid > 3K for their fancy Nav/audio package.... It is supposed to read my text messages to me too and I can't get that to work either.

Mine used to do that, but it doesn't support the newer bluetooth protocol in the S3...and Ford doesn't seem interested in supporting the software in cars over two years old.

I would think mine should since it's a new car. It also says you can stream music via BT from your phone. If I will ever go outside and start on my trailer hitch...I may get the owner's manual, after the install and try opening it.

Honestly, music in my car is not of great value to me as I seem to always be on the phone...but...since it's there, I want an option to use it.

I'm guessing that Audi has hands-free calling on it through bluetooth. Mine does, and I really like it. People can't hear me as well as if I was on a headset (because the mic is farther away), but it seems to work well.

Yes, that is one feature all my cars must have as I have a lot of conference calls while I'm on the road.

I just found a video on my system, it said that you can't copy directly from a CD. You either have to burn that CD onto a writable CD or transfer it to a SD card. It says it has to be in a MP3 format, all my music is in WAV. Is that going to cause an issue?

Maybe you guys will end up on the cutting edge and start a new thing called "Hill Biking"
I can see that becoming more popular than Frisbee Golf......
I'll bet Adam is still looking at that picture of your leg.:D

I remember. You had to "convince" her to let you get that bike IIRC. Hence the not wanting an argument about getting a new matching bike.:) (Rick sure is glad that you are color coordinating now...:D)

Installing the hitch wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

It does hang down but it's fine. My wife will hate it but it's so me...

Now I have to figure out how to put music in the Jukebox. I was going to just load some from WMP to a SD card but I can't seem to remember how to do that.
