Resonator bypass installed. Turbo very noticeably spools more quickly for better initial response. The shop said it would be louder, but the main thing I hear more of is the turbo spooling up Picked it up used for $30!!

I had a pretty serious oil leak from ancillary hoses near the turbo. Since everything around the turbo gets more than enough heat, things will eventually fail. I decided to replace all of them (9 hoses) with a silicone hose kit. It was more expensive than I would have liked, but I won't need to worry about those for another 100Kmi.

Yeah, so those are going to also mean rims that will fit them too. They are quite a bit bigger than the stock calipers.

The wife and I bought her a 2010 Lexus IS250 yesterday. She's wanted one for years but I thought there was no way we could afford it. We ended up getting a pretty good deal though. Definite upgrade from her old 1991 Nissan 240SX! She's had that thing since it was new. When I drove it home from her work yesterday after buying the Lexus is was scared off my ***! Those are the factory Subaru STI Brembos. Bolt right on, just need matching discs and rims that clear (haven't tested mine yet, but the shop said he doesn't think they clear). Spacers may be all that is needed though.

One in good condition like this one was pretty tough to come by. I found another already, but it costs more. Insurance still settling on how it will be handled since 3 cars were involved.

That sucks, glad to hear the kid is Ok. Accidents can be scary stuff, plus that car looked like it was in great condition which it obviously was since you bought it. Hope the insurance comes through for you, they can be pretty awful.

Yeah, that wasn't a good day. Freaking tow truck took over 2hrs to show up. I get an automated call that says the tow truck is almost there. A truck shows up and picks up the car and THEN asks if I want to follow him, it is right around the corner? I said, NO, the address I gave them to drop it off is in another city. Dude shows me the insurance info and it ISN'T MY INSURANCE. Bonehead picked up the wrong car and then says he is going to CHARGE ME on top of it!! I told him to put my effing car back on the street, he did, no charge because it was clearly NOT the car he was supposed to pick up. The other car was around the corner because the chick kept driving for a block before pulling over after hitting the car WTF? So obviously her car is still drivable and didn't need to be towed 2 blocks..... Must have been moron day. Then we had to wait almost another hour for our actual tow truck to show.

The Unicorn car that I was looking for when I found this one just came up for sale for a decent price... Subie Forester XT 5sp. It already has the key STI components added to bring it back to STI levels of power as well (it basically comes with a detuned STI motor). So if things go right and it looks good, this WRX may be getting sold very soon. SOOOO much work on this car and I love it, but for some reason I still really want the Fozzy. Will save the Brembos for the XT too

Drove the Fozzy last night. Mmmmmmm It has a little rust and the owner admits it comes back with a questionable title from another state so I am having it inspected. It is a beast.
