im gonna be switching from my old yamaha HTR-5760
im really thinking about getting the yamaha RX-V667
but i notice a difference in the specs that i need help understanding
my old htr-5760 watts per channel was 110W x 7
and now rx-v667 is 90W x 7
my speakers are
yamaha NS-555 towerspeakers with a Input Power (Maximum / Nominal) 250W / 100W
yamaha NS-C444 center speaker same input power both are 6ohms
and using some sony satellites SAVE367T for surround input power up to 120w
will the rxv667 drive my speakers just like my old htr-5760
or better???
please help me understand
thx

The wattage figures mean nothing without comparable 'thd'
Measurements.
Go and find out what thd the figures were taken at...
(How much distortion was present when fig's were taken)
Regardless ,the 667 will easily deal with whatever you throw at it......especially if your previous yam can do it .
I'm quite impressed with mine.....all the reviews were extremely positive...big chunky power supply ,by all account's
:)

thx for the reply
do you have a yammha av also???
Yup...got a 667
The only thing missing is built in airplay/bluetooth,
Although you can buy an adapter thingy.
Other than that it's excellent :)

Had nearly 10 yrs(i think) faultless service from a yam ax620
