Building second H/T 5".1 any suggestions,all ears!

Hi everyone,Getting ready to embark on this journey to build my setup really excited.Ready to purchase my speakers trying to decide between the Pioneer Andrew Jones setup 4 sp-fs52s and the sp-c22 center channel or 4 Acoustech PL-89s and the PL-28 any suggestions?

Have you demoed the Pioneers or BICs? My first thought is that they're going to sound different (BICs have horn tweeters and are likely to sound brighter) and it'll be up to you to decide which you prefer.

What sub are you planning on using?

I would get the Pioneer speakers + BIC PL-200 sub.

How much is the BIC sub? If its around $250, I would seriously consider saving up another $250 and buying an SVS PB-1000. It will completely destroy the BIC. No new sub in the $500 price club will come close to matching this sub's output in extension and uniformity. I'm getting one to replace my venerable PSB Subsonic 5 which served me well.

Well the Pioneers are around $500 whereas the BICs seem to be at least $1100 (unless I'm missing something) so if he went with the Pioneers he'd have the budget for a nice sub..

Hi guys, I'm planning on getting the PL-200 sub and I'm also adding the Venturi dv84,dv28 center,and dv64's as my rear surrounds to this list that I'm considering. I have read some other threads that have mentioned the different sound between the Acoustech's and Pioneer's and Venturi lines!
