I would like to know would Y connecting to my subs will hurt my avr? My Avr has 2 sub out's, sub 1 is connected to my 12" Kipchs straight. The other sub out from the avr is y connected to my 2 Def Tech BP7006 used as my front wide's lfe input. then I another y connection to a other sub. Question does the avr just sends the lfe signal? Total 4 sub's large family rm. 20x18 vaulted ceiling, so 1 sub out from NR3008 is currently running 3 subs is this ok?

Thanks

That's fine. It won't hurt the receiver or the subs. Each time that you split the signal, you lose a little bit of the signal strength. Probably not noticeable, but if you calibrate the volume level of each sub manually, you'll know that you've accounted for any signal loss in your lines.

Hey Adam, thanks for the quick response. Would Audyssey MultEQ XT32 do the calib for me?

Happy to help if I can! MultEQ XT32 will calibrate subs, but it will treat all of the subs connected to one port as a single sub. So, it won't adjust the volume of each sub to smooth out the response, but it will try to set the overall volume to the proper level. I forget if the 3008 treats both sub outputs as a single sub for Audyssey, so it might be treating all four subs as one entity. Because of that, I was saying that you could adjust the volume of the subs manually - but you could then run Audyssey for it to fine tune the equalization and the rest of the calibration.

I ran Audyssey again and adjusted the sw vol mannualy, but I notice that audyssey had changed my def tech mains and front wide to 40hz from full band. Is this ok or should set it back to full band? In Onkyo Spk Configuration setup the LPF or LFE setting is at 120Hz would I get a tighter bass response if I set it lower like 80Hz?

Thanks in advance
