Hey Alex. What are you going to use the switch for? If I remember your receiver is only HDMI version 1.1 but as this is a 3x1 how is it helping you?

My TV only has 2 hdmi inputs. One is the Blu-ray player and the other is a switch that handles a Denon DVD 1920 and our cable box. If I do Netflix steaming again there's a spare to go to my laptop. I don't run video through the rec'r. The remote control stopped working on my current switch so John's switch fixes that.

I was using it to switch my HDMI gear because my receiver had no HDMI. My TV had plenty of HDMI ports, but it was easier to let the switch automatically do the switching for me; something the Emotiva does not do (and I guess it shouldn't).

BTW, Phil and John both pack stuff about the same way. I almost wanted to post pic's of the packing materials used. First rate and much appreciated. Sorry the shipping was so high. I'm really glad I didn't bother haggling. Mr. Garcia didn't need to be told how to act. Insured to boot.

I thought the whole thing was a fair deal, even the shipping. Yes, a little high, but not out of the question for where you are. Costs me more to ship stuff to my buddy in Az because he is beyond the boonies - UPS won't even go to his house (FedEx will)

Remoteness isn't a requirement...unfortunately. Just ask the dudes who used to hang out at the Physics computer lab where I sometimes had to do homework in college.
