Hello folks! I'm a newbie to the forum, so this is my first post. I am relatively new in the world of home theater gear. I recently bought a pair of Energy Veritas 6.2 towers and a Veritas 5.2C center in a room roughly 14x20 with 8 foot ceilings. I use the speakers for primarily movies and about 10-20% for music listening purposes. I have been looking for a subwoofer (preferably a "smaller" sub that doesn't intrude on floor space) and have it narrowed down between two SVS models: the PB1000 and the SB 12-NSD.The first is ported, while the latter is sealed. I know both are relatively new, and I've seen some reviews floating around, but does anyone have a recommendation as to what may fit my needs? I'm leaning towards the PB1000 but didn't know how good it was from a music standpoint. SVS seems to be a clear winner in warranties, customer service, trade up value, etc, so I'm leaning towards them. I'm looking at a $500-$600 budget and a small footprint. I'd appreciate any input regarding these two subs and any other that may be worth my time. Thanks, folks and I'm excited to be on board!

The SB12 NSD plays louder and in-room (with corner placement) it will play deeper than the PB1000.

I think you may have the models numbers reversed here. The PB1000 will definitely play lower and louder then the SB12-NSD can. The SB12 will sound cleaner, because it has a better amp and driver, but the ported PB1000 will have deeper bass.
