Well the xmass tree is gone, we got a 12ft real tree this year, what a pain in the @$$ to get it out of the house with my left arm in a sling... But anyway its all vacuumed up and cleaned out, and I have my stereo back...

I spent a few hours in there tonight listening to i-tunes {since I got $300 of new music, I got over $800 of apple gift cards for xmass}...

[/IMG]

edit: I just noticed you can see my reflection in the picture, lol , notice my left arm in the black sling, so depressing, my arm has shrank so much since the surgery:( makes me sick...

I'm not as much of a 2 channel guy, but that looks like an awesome place to relax in :D

Thanks Brian , I get lost in there for hours, I was never hot on stereo only either but now I'm hooked, I have the jades with dual subs in my guest rooms parlor too, setup just like this one, and I have the tektons in my bedroom.. I'm hooked on 2ch systems for music, My HT is nice and does the job, but I think I would invest more in my music systems before upgrading that....

I think HT systems can only be so good, and honestly an efficient front stage {warm, flat, and mildly defined} and a oversized quality sub and I'm happy, with music I'm much more picky, I want it very warm, super fast bouncy bass {the correct amount, I want to hear it how it was recorded} and I want the speakers to disappear when the music starts, and it took a little work but if you sit on the couch and close your eyes you can not tell where the voice is coming from.... I almost ruined it with a 100" screen projector, but then changed my mind...

Um, do I see cable risers? I may actually have to give you some red chicklets :)

Actually, with 2ch, I want to know exactly where the voice is coming from with most recordings. Does look like a fun system.

LOL, they're not really cable risers, I made them to keep the speaker cables away from the subs power cables, the speaker wire and sub rcas go ontop and the power cables are ran on the bottom, plus it looks better than just having them ran on the floor or stapled to the wall.... For some reason when I had them ran together I got a noise like a running car throughout the towers, not through the subs, it made both of my towers have this sizzley hum, and it took me a while to figure out it was the subs power wires being too close to the speaker cables.... I can run the rca's and power lines together no noises, but as soon as I put the speaker wires withing an inch or so of the power cable, the noise comes back... you can only hear it when nothing is being played and the system is on, but it was irritating.. PLus if the wires are on the floor, my wife is definitely vacuuming them up...:D

Should break out your pa subs
My wife would have a stroke if I set them up in the house, when I built this system I had specific rules to abide by, no black speakers, nothing bigger than my ht speakers, only 2 speakers {I kind of broke that one with the subs}, no tv's, nothing over $2000 {broke that one;)}, nothing 3ft past the window, and nothing "gordy"... Although she listens to it just as much as me now, and now we hardley ever use our whole house multi room system {we have in ceiling yamahas all over the place with an emotiva amp hooked into our HT AVR zone 2, but we still use it for outdoor}....
