Question for you, Alex. Can you hear the amp when nothing is playing? I'm wondering if the transformers are audible. Thanks.
Zero transformer noise. When I turn it on it is nearly dead silent and I only say nearly because my room is never dead silent. However, when I was in my other room with it, that room could get dead silent and I never remember hearing anything.
Also, as far as noise through the tweeters, as long as the power is clean this will be dead silent as well. I have some sort of crazy ground loop so if anything I have isn't connected to the APC there is a ton of noise through the tweeter, however even when this wasn't plugged into the APC there was far less noise than with the Cinepro, AB International, or receiver.
I know I'm trying to sell it so this may come off as an exaggeration or some other kind of misrepresentation of the facts, but I'll say it anyways.
This is my favorite amplifier out of all the ones I have. It is built like a tank, is silent, and delivers a ton of power. It is rated at merely 200 WPC, but has never felt like it ever ran out of gas. It is an absolute beast. I have all 5 channels running and it will push the speakers to ear splitting levels in my room before it ever breaks a sweat. Just a tremendous amplifier that I have been thoroughly impressed with in the time I have had it.
Which probably leads anybody (anybody please?
) to wonder why I would then sell it. I'm actually going to be shuffling a few amplifiers and in order to make what I want to do work financially this has to go.
