There is no telling how long before Amazon changes the price. Sometimes these deals last minutes or hours and others last days.

Couldn't pass that up. Been wanting that one for a while. Fantastic deal for a brand new receiver. I'm very excited. :D

Need. I don't NEED a receiver, but I wanted one. So I bought one. I do, however, NEED new speakers to pair with this bad boy. :D
LOL! That's my predicament. I want to buy that receiver, but, then I'll need speakers and a sub. Then I'll need to make room for the new setup. Then I'll need to find a place to stay since my wife will surely kick me out.

Jokes apart, the current office setup is doing just fine and there is no room around the TV to add 2.0 or 2.1.

Is there room in the dog house for the 809 and decent speakers? If you're like most of my married friends you spend more time in there than in the house. :D

Genius! "Ok honey, I'll be in the dog house until further notice. Don't bother staying up." She'll catch on very quickly though...

It just lowered in price again.... $426 now.

If you guys already ordered one, I'm pretty certain Amazon is good for lowering your purchase price to what it's being sold for now if you give them a call. Not entirely sure, but fairly certain....

It just keeps dropping in price though...

Man, haven't even gotten mine yet and it's $50 cheaper. Fedex guy ran out of time? I'm going to be giving them a call.

Man, I really want this for Dolby Volume, among a few other features (less important though)...

But I just don't trust Onkyo...

$432 Now, that has to be the best avr for under $600 rite now... I don;t mind onkyo, they had some issues as did most avrs but its new and warranty soooooo......

My experience with onkyo has been great. When I sold them they ran hot, but the older version of this (805) ran for 12 hours a day in our demo room and never had a single problem.

If any of you are thinking about ordering I would caution you against opting for a more expensive shipping option. I payed for 1 day shipping ($4) and have yet to receive my unit. Fedex is at fault not amazon, but it was supposed to be here on the 19th and I haven't seen it yet.

I had the HT-RC160 which was the same year as the xx7's which were notorious for burning up, along with the xx8's. Never had a problem. I gave that to my mom and she keeps it at our cottage with no AC. On the hottest days in the summer it does get a little toasty, but it's still running strong. Then my own 809 hasn't had any issues thus far, had it for 2 years or so now...

Thanks, fedex finally delivered mine, so I'll check it when I get home. It's going in a closet with another amplifier and a HTPC so there will be heat, but I don't see it being an issue. Hopefully
