It's not just texting, autocorrection in Outlook and most web browsers drive me nuts too. Open Office can be especially annoying, because it has intelligent auto-completion, which means it will suggest entire words to speed up your typing, based on words you've previously typed.

You can turn this feature off. I do, and recommend it.

Holy cow, those are funny.

I find my auto correct works very good if I type quickly but if I go slow and try to spell things correctly, it comes out way off.

Same here, only I'm using a highly predictive so sometimes even if I type a word correctly it will change it to a higher probability incorrect word. It's the only thing I don't like about SwiftKey.

I've actually had an autocorrect where taking out was changed to eating out.

The response was does it taste like chicken.
