Hello. I have long been a lustful AV wanna-be-geek, but this week I think I have officially entered AV nirvana... at least the initial stage:

I installed 4x the amount of curtains recommended to help to dampen the sound?

ok to install the definitive rears in the back corners

What is the limiting factor in my theater? Is it my old DVD/non-blu ray? (ive actually never seen nor held a blu ray to-date)

I take it that you don't use your fireplace much.

Is that a chrome trailer hitch on the end of your curtain rod?

LOL In fact I never have though I have lived here for 4 years and its a cool pass-through or 2 faced fireplace


I have asked Ricky of ESS to make me two stands for those AMT 1D's to raise them as much as the left one is raised by the bricks. The Ill use one for now

Unless I re-locate these speakers to the sides...

I'm with u on the fireplace. We've been here 4 years and never have fired it up once. I'm thinking of dropping a pair of TLS 18"s going infinite baffle w/ Crown amps and turning it into a sub. I just gotta get the old lady on board with it. I've been working on her, but easier said than done.
