Last Repetitive Day this Century

No...I don't mean Groundhog Day. This is the last repetitive date this century, and for one second, it will be 12/12/12 12:12:12.

When I was a kid, I used to run to the clock to see it turn over to repetitive times like 11:11. Yeah, like that comes as a surprise to anyone here. :D I might just have to get my geek on around lunch today.

Ah, yes. I forgot about the international date line. :)

For folks in the Americas...this hasn't happened, yet.

Yes, but next year we'll be able to have 11/12/13 and somewhere in the world it'll be 11:12:13. 'Course this year we somehow missed 10/11/12 and so on.

Lets not forget though the Brits do their Days before the month so when it is 11/12/13 here it will be 12/11/13 for them so when they have 11/12/13 it is actually 12/11/13 for us. Confused yet.;)

Come on, man. Just let me enjoy my repetitive date/time. Granted, it's on an arbitrary calendar that not everyone uses...and it's based on shortening the year to the last two digits...and...oh, forget it. 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12 12. Ahhhhh. Even more 12's, and now I don't need to wait. :D

Of course, being stuck between the two of you, we tend to go both ways (go ahead Adam - knock yourself out. :p) up here. So, unless it's after the 12th day of the month, you can't be sure if the date you're looking at is day/month/year, or month/day/year.

Took me a second to realize you were talking time wise. ;)
Are you sure about that? ;) :D

Btw, I totally forgot! I was at lunch, and it slipped my mind.

I saw an article about expensive Belgian beer that is available today in the US, heh. The Westvleteren 12. $14.17 per bottle, too bad they didn't make it $12.12.

The 12th day of the 12th month of 2012 is not a day of deliverance but of delivery for devout American fans of Westvleteren 12, brewed by the reclusive Belgian monks at St. Sixtus Abbey.

The celebrated beer — often called the best in the world — is usually only available for sale at the abbey, located in the Belgian countryside. But starting Wednesday, buyers in the U.S. and other countries can purchase the beer at select retailers for $84.99 for six bottles.
