Hello i got 2 Sony f7000 speakers in the front with a sony center speaker. 2 Sony f6000 speakers as sourrounds and 2 Sony F7000 speakers as the rear sourrounds. And we have a bic v1220. The Receiver is a sony STRDN1030.

I did the auto calibration and after that i changed the speakers from large to small. Should i lower the frequency of the tower speakers from 80 to 60? and what should i set the sub at should i set it at highter then 80?. If i go from 80 to 60 with the towers can keep the sub at 80 or does that have to be dropped down to do 60 and below? Thanks!

What i would like is lots of rumble but also i dont want to lose any sound quality by going to low. And the question is there a big difrence from 80 and 60 for the towers?

The center speaker is rated 85 - 50000 Hz. Should i set that at 80? 85? 100?

Is this a room, where one is sitting 20 feet back from the TV?

yeah it is.
Well, you are not going to get much rumble out of that subwoofer.
I would at least, find a way to buy a second one.

However, set the crossovers for now >
Center 100 hz
All other speakers 80 hz

Subwoofer, turn the crossover all the way up.

Okay question. The bic v1220 and f12 seem to be a close sub. the specs seem close. Should i buy the f12 or anther v1220?

thanks

You think adding anther sub would be better? I know the Sony towers have a dedicated 8inch woofer for lower bass and anther dedicated 8 for mid range on each tower. You think I should lower them down to 60 cross over. Or you think put them at 80 and have 2 subs would be much better? Also by setting them to 80
Does it still take advantage of the 4 way speaker concept
Or by setting them to 80 just like having a book shelf speaker

Thanks again for taking the time to help

PS I was also reading where people say for the v1220 to set it at 60 cuz it doesn't do well above that or something

Could I get something better then 2 bics for 400 dollars? How much better is the bic pl200

I would do the settings as I posted earlier -
Now if it were me, I would buy this Cadence 12 inch subwoofer,
it is around 122 db at 50 hz > and 105 db at 25 hz. And Then I
would sell your other BIC sub, and buy another Cadence sub.

They also have a 15inch model what you think of that?
Where is the port
I favor the 12 inch one - the measurements look better to me,
over the 15 inch one

The slot port is on the front

You think there is a difrence between the Sony older center speaker cn550h and the cn5000
Will they work the same? The specs seem to be the same
