Don't get the Focal sub. If for some screwed up reason you feel compelled to spend lots of money, the Velodyne DD18 will do a decent enough job. Funk Audio is a great product at a reasonable cost (plus your sub will be custom built, so if you want to match woodgrain with your mains, you can).
Exotic Cables are largely snake oil. If you open up any top dollar amp or your speakers you will find plain old dumb copper wire inside! My biggest concerns with wire are:
1) Is it pliable enough to go and stay where I want to run it, and
2) If it is exposed, does it clash with the drapes.
Seriously, at the end of the day; if you got the jack and it makes you feel better to toss it on cables, go for it! However, on this site we are pretty pragmatic.
Something that does make a difference and you probably haven't thought about is room treatments. You might as well get your system finished first, but the room effects your end result (the sound quality) more than anything except maybe the speakers!
BTW, great choice on the speakers. Speakers make a true difference, and that is a place to spend money.
After the speakers, the pre-pro is where you want to spend thought time. What features do you want/need. I would disagree with the earlier recommendation and suggest you start with the Denon 4311 because it has the top level of Audyssey room EQ. You may not like it and decide not to use it, but you won't know unless you try and you can't add it later if you have room problems without replacing the entire unit.
