Hey Guys and Gals,
I have an Onkyo M-282 amp that I got on an impulse buy (I do that a lot). I opened it and hooked up to see if it worked, it did, unhooked it and put aside to possibly use in another setup. Well it's been there for four months in the box. I just thought I would throw it out here and see if anyone was interested. I'm asking $175 shipped. Will post pics if interested.:)
PS, I bought it new.
Thanks, Jeff

Maybe someone else can answer that. It's a stereo amp 100 watts per channel, can't be bridged, can be daisy chained. Has stereo ins and outs. So the answer is I don't know, I don't believe it is four Ohm capable. Someone will chime in. Thanks.

No. Good amp for a second zone or bi-amping. But not for a sub.

Sorry ahblaza. I have one of these myself that I no longer have use for but can't muster up the strength or ambition to part with.
I think $175 will be a hard number to hit.

Just being honest.

The 'Features' over at Onkyo say one thing about the power and the 'Sec's' say another. Probably has something to do with that testing at 1KHz and 20-20KHz thing but best case scenario is south of 140 watts @ 8 Ohms and it will handle 6 Ohms without issue. So ... I think Nomo should buy it.

Appreciate your honesty, I also can't muster up the ambition to part with it, $175 is going to be hard to hit, I paid $200 and used for a day, I really don't have use for it but just can't give it away either. I just don't like selling on Ebay (I know it will sell there), I don't like the gouging fees 8.5 % and then PayPal fees.:( I'm getting some rear speaks and may use it to power them. Thanks.

I'm just trying to muster up some funds to help you get your 4311, I told you I would see what I could do;) Do you really think 140 watts @ 8 Ohms, if so, I didn't know that:)

That's very generous but I don't think I could accept that in good conscience. There's way more worthy causes and just to confirm Adam's all knowing inner voice it does hurt me to say that. :D

The Spec's say that ...

8 ohms 2 x 140 W at 8 ohms
they have a few numbers thrown around there but it's probably the figure @1KHz. I say hang onto it to push your rears and give your rec'r a break. I bet it will do 140 watts 20-20kHz and still have a distortion figure below the threshold of human audibility but PENG would be the authority on that.

I saw them on Amazon used for ~ $175 and new for ~ $200.
