This may be a no brainer but i figured i would let some of you look at the specs so im not running the wrong setup. I just picked up a denon 1913 today at frys for 288 bucks. I originally was looking for a lower end model to power some Boston acoustics a360 towers in a family room.

I have a pioneer elite vsx21 and now this receiver. Which should I use for my Emp tek towers? I have the e55ti and the e5ti. They are rated at 6 ohms. The Boston a360 are 8 ohms and will be ran solo.

My guess is the denon should be used for the 5.1 and my pioneer now takes the back seat. I'm looking for the best sound. I won't be using some of the features like AirPlay. Thanks

The Denon beats the Pioneer on all counts (if you are going surround sound).

Time for the Pioneer to be retired to 2.0 or 2.1 duty.

Thanks. That was the answer I was looking for based on the specs. I was going to swap them around and mess with it,but with so many settings I'm pretty sure I would like them both on certain modes.
