I just saw specs on the Panasonic that said 7.1. No. And Samsung is 7.1. Yes.? They both can output audio to a sound setup with 7 speakers fine?

That means no 7.1 analog outputs, which the BDT220 definitely does not have. If you are using HDMI, that doesn't matter as they will all send the correct 7.1 signal over HDMI to be decoded by the receiver.

HDMI, can be your friend. I even listen to Concert Blurays and
CD music, with a HDMI hook-up.

Do not look for any special transfiguration/transformation with
any hook-up, for the overall performace of your speakers.

Sure, or Sony, but go with those that are DLNA compliance, with wifi, 3D capable, and don't pay more than $99.99, if you are not a Costco member, you know some one who is right?

Well, after alost tirty posts of people here offering their advice and experiencs, it seems you stillwant a Samsung.

Why fight it? Go for it. Nothing we've said seems to have made any difference anyway.

Sorry! I do t mean for that...I've actually seen a few nice ones. The Panasonic 220, and Sony 390 I like as well. And then I looked at some bigger ones that ha e more capabilities like the. Oppo for 500 bucks and also came across onkyo blu ray players. Does anyone know much about the onkyo units? All in all for the cheaper option the sony 390 is quite appealing

I would get the Panasonic 220 BD for about $100.

Netflix, Amazon Prime, and just about every streaming service. WiFi built in. Great BD player. Also has Panasonic remote apps for both Android and iOS devices. Love the remote app. :D

I gave him the link to Costco.com, 89.99 but looks like he's in Canada so the Panny will cost him much more, but the Sony 390 and 590 can be had frequently for less than $120.

What really cracks me up is that i nominated, from personal experience, the Sony 390 in post # 3
