On the up side, assuming the company continues to do well, MIT should see a substantial benefit from the shares of the company that Dr. Bose donated to them. The shares can't be sold, but they do get a dividend paid out, which is probably not insignificant.
Yeah, if you can split Dr. Bose away from the company, I think he started with some great goals. And it was very impressive to leave that to MIT to help support the next generations of engineers.

I had a pair of 901's back in the early 90's that i made a straight up trade with a friend for some Pioneer CST-7100 speakers.

Bose has been living on the reputation of the 901s, deserved or not, for as long as they've been in existence and back in the 70s they were very popular. Back then, I actually went to a hifi store to buy a pair. Then I spotted a pair of Allison's. I had just read a review in Stereo Review on these boys. I compared them (a/b) the the 901s and went home with the Allisons.
