I'm of two minds about unions. Even with modern labour laws, some worker representation is still necessary. It goes off the rails when they become obstructive, greedy and willing to throw non-members under a bus. I also have a problem with unions making financial contributions to political parties. If I was a union member and the union was giving my union dues to a party I didn't like, I would not be pleased. That said, I don't agree with publicly traded companies doing the same thing. As a shareholder, I wouldn't want my money going to a party I didn't like.

And you have obviouly never sat at a union negotiations table from either side of the coin.
I think his analogy to law enforcement was a good one, though. Take me, for example. I'm not for getting rid of all law enforcement, despite that time that I was handcuffed, gagged, and pistol whipped by a female cop who kept screaming at me that I was "going to pay" for what I did. I gotta say, it was terrifying. Okay, maybe she was just dressed like a cop. And maybe it wasn't really a pistol. And, sure, I did go a bit off menu and owed her some more money. It was still scary, though - I mean, it's tough mumbling a safety word through a gag.

Hey, that's beside the point that I still support the police...

Actually, it sounds more like you were gonna pay for what she was doing.

Trust me - it wasn't a good time for a semantic argument.
Who said anything about religion???

You know you're in trouble when you hear "Bring on the Flugenharfenwazzis!!!" and the burly men in leather diapers appear

Did you at least get a T-shirt? :D

Now that you mention it, I was praying quite a bit for a while there.

Word. That's a mistake that most people only make once. I can't speak for Alex. :D

Did you at least get a T-shirt? :D
Unfortunately, no. They had some cool ones in the gift shop, but I only had enough cash left to replace my pants.
