What towers would you consider for a $3000 budget?

Well to each his own. The source are more traditional looking and sound great and there will be a Phil 4 that is traditionally shaped as well.

I am looking into the source as well, I called and left a message someone should get back to me soon..

Them are on my list, BUT I spoke with matt at MD and he says the sale is not for demo, but is checking on it for me.. I havent heard them exact models but have heard the 1007 books and they are impressive for sure... With that sale price it is a little over what I want to spend since shipping is another $200.... MD doesnt have free ship on sale items...

I bought my evo's from them and they are good guys, I also asked how they compare to the jades since he sells both and he says no one has choosen the focals over the jades yet, and everyone is impressed by the jades... I know I was when I heard them, the entire line is solid...

Walter, who commented above, has an all source system and it sounds amazing. Currently he lent me a pair of his surround speakers and they freaking rock. I like them so much I ordered a pair of surrounds, not the same ones, but when Walter finally makes me give these back I know I'll feel the incessant need to buy my own.

Rick71, I believe also has a pair of source coherent pulse speakers. I really want to hear them because they look like an interesting design.

Source is a great company, if small, and John is a great guy. He knows his stuff and has designed some pretty darn good speakers in his day. Not all of which are under the source technology brand.........

OK I was on the phone with the rep from WD and he offered me a brand new set of Jade 5's for half price soooooooo...

They are on their way

I was trying to be open minded, honest, but when stuff like that happens, you have to chalk it up to fate...

I know I should diversify a little more, but I have the evo2 2.2 systm, the tekton tube system, the ascend systems, and the Focal bookshelf system. so this is going in the other parlor.

But it honestly is going to be very similar to my 2.2 system, I have 2 more matching subs for it, so really the only difference between it and the evo system is the amp and the jades...

!!!!!BUT YOU HAVE TO ADMIT HALF PRICE IS GOOD!!!!! And for $1600 there is no speaker that touches these...
